Piano Concert Featuring Sam Rotman

Mr. Rotman is a renowned international concert pianist who has performed over 3100 concerts in 61 countries. At age 23 Mr. Rotman was a Laureate Winner in the 4th International Beethoven Competition held in Vienna, Austria. Since then, Mr. Rotman has performed many all-Beethoven recitals around the world and the Beethoven concerti for piano and orchestra in the U.S. and China. Over the past 20 seasons Mr. Rotman has averaged over 100 concerts a year, performing in 7-9 countries each year.
To commemorate Beethoven's 250th birthday two famous "masks" of Beethoven will be on display at the concert. A famous Life Mask of Beethoven by Franz Klein was done in 1812 when the Beethoven was 41 years of age. The renowned “Idealized” Death Mask of Beethoven was crafted by the famous German artist, Fritz Kochendöerfer, Both masks are on loan from private collections.
